Rush Enterprises, Inc. Chairman W. Marvin Rush Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2007 Award Winner in the Houston and Gulf Coast Area

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Jul 3, 2007 (PrimeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- Rush Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq:RUSHA) (Nasdaq:RUSHB), which operates the largest network of heavy- and medium-duty truck dealerships in North America and a John Deere construction equipment dealership in Houston, Texas, today announced that W. Marvin Rush, founder and Chairman of Rush Enterprises, Inc., received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year(r) 2007 Award in the Distribution and Construction category in the Houston and Gulf Coast area. According to Ernst & Young, the award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. Mr. Rush was selected by an independent panel of judges and the award was presented at an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year gala event at the InterContinental Houston Hotel on June 28, 2007.

In accepting the award, Mr. Rush said, "It is a great honor to be recognized by Ernst & Young for this prestigious award. This award proves that you can achieve much when you build a company of great people, provide the proper tools and allow them the independence and freedom to act. I might have had the vision for what today is a coast-to-coast network of premium truck and equipment dealerships and related services, but it is the people of Rush Enterprises that have been part of this organization's 40-year history that have helped this vision become reality."

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program celebrates its 21st anniversary this year and continues to honor entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

"Ernst & Young is honored to recognize extraordinary business leaders, such as Marvin Rush, and the companies they have built," said Doug Bogart, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year program director for the Houston and Gulf Coast area.

As a Houston and Gulf Coast award winner, Mr. Rush is now eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2007 national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 17, 2007. The national Entrepreneur Of The Year celebration is part of Ernst & Young's Strategic Growth Forum. The overall national Entrepreneur Of The Year award recipient is then considered for the world event held in Monte Carlo.
